SUSTAINABILITY

OUR GREEN MISSION

It’s not always easy being green. Our goal is to make it easier for businesses to do that.  We provide our clients with what we call “Green Media”, which is an opportunity for them to start greening their business. We pride ourselves on being environmentally conscious in all stages of our filmmaking. Our business is built around the environments that we want to affect and make better with our work. One of the best ways we do that is offsetting our carbon footprint by planting trees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Happy workers make happy clients.  Recycle and compost in the office.  Go paperless.  Turn the lights off.  Efficient Heating and Cooling.

COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT

Keeping things local sustains our economy.  Use local venders and rental houses.  Donate to local charities.  Spend money at local shops and businesses.

NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

This is the only planet we have and we need to take better care of it.  Encourage going green.  Protect our air, water, and land from pollution.  Start small and get bigger. Plant Trees.

GREENING OUR PRODUCTIONS

The Producer’s Guild of America, aka the PGA, has a going green chapter known as PGA Green. They’ve already done tons of research for us and have plenty of great ideas on how to green your production. Take a look at some to the ways you can make your production sustainable at PGA Green.

OFFSETTING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

According to most information that is available to us, the average tree offsets 48 lbs of CO2 every year. So that is what our calculations are based on. However, we understand that there are a lot of factors that can alter that measurement like the age, size, and type of tree. We are currently working with the Urban Forest Project and Friends of GR Parks to more specifically find out how many lbs of CO2 we are actually offsetting when we plant trees here in Grand Rapids. More information to come!

OUR TREE PLANTING MAP

Check out our tree planting map to see how many trees we have planted around the country in an effort to offset our carbon footprint. Check back soon to see how our footprint has grown (or shrunk to be exact). Thank you to One Tree Planted and their team for making it possible for us to plant trees around the U.S.
